Continence Program
Center for Women’s Health offers an individualized treatment plan for pelvic floor dysfunction. Women with urinary leakage, pelvic pain, pelvic relaxation, urinary frequency and fecal incontinence are treated with a variety of modalities including biofeedback and stimulation which is an attractive alternative for many women, as well as indicated drug therapy or surgical treatments.
Did you know:
- 1 in 3 women may have a problem with bladder control.
- High impact physical activities, estrogen changes, pregnancy/vaginal delivery/episiotomy & pelvic muscle weakness are a few of the risk factors for bladder control problems.
- There are many treatment options for bladder control: exercises, medication and/or surgery.
- There are very effective surgical options.
- Almost all people do ‘kegel’ exercises wrong.
- People wait an average of 7 years to seek treatment often because they say it’s not so bad or they fear the treatment.
- #1 statement after patients come to us for treatment is:“I wish I would have come sooner”.
We know that bladder control problems only get worse without treatment. As health care providers we want to know about this important health care issue. Please complete the following questionnaire.

If you answered ‘Yes’ to any of these questions, you do not have to just live with it. These problems have a variety of treatment options. A specially trained continence nurse practitioner works closely with your provider to evaluate and treat your bladder issues. Most insurances cover these services.
