Some stress can make life fulfilling and interesting; however, most of us deal with far more stress than we are equipped to handle. This can lead to muscle aches, fatigue, headaches and irritability. Over time, stress can contribute to serious conditions such as ulcers, and other digestive disturbances, high blood pressure, heart disease and a weaker immune system.
Are there any risks associated with massage?
Generally, massage is extremely low-risk. However, people with certain health conditions, such as bleeding disorders, cancer, osteoporosis and pregnancy should consult a doctor before getting a massage and it is important to make sure your massage therapist knows about any recent injuries or conditions.
